Joshua Hayford

Intern Started Sept 2025

Joshua Hayford is a Counselling Intern who is passionate about helping people strengthen their relationships—with themselves and with others. He believes that healing and growth happen through genuine connection, compassion, and understanding.

Joshua holds a Social Service Worker Diploma from Seneca Polytechnic and a Bachelor of Arts in Human Services, with a focus on Biblical Studies and Theology, from Tyndale University. He is currently completing his Master of Divinity in Clinical Counselling.

With over 10 years of experience supporting families, children, youth, and marginalized communities across the GTA, Joshua has worked with people from all walks of life—including racial and ethnic minorities, LGBTQ+ individuals, newcomers, those experiencing homelessness, and people living with disabilities or in poverty. His background in trauma-informed care and conflict resolution informs his warm, and client-centred approach.

Joshua focuses on helping clients navigate emotional regulation, gender and body image issues, disenfranchised grief, sex therapy, complex trauma, and neurodiversity. He strives to create a safe and supportive space where clients can explore who they are, strengthen their relationships, and rediscover hope and resilience.

Deeply inspired by the human capacity to grow through adversity, Joshua considers it a privilege to walk alongside clients as they build more authentic, connected, and fulfilling lives.
